West Bend Factory Hop-Up Kit

 The West Bend/ Chrysler/ US Marine/ US Motor Power 510,580,700 series engines can all be easily hopped up with the installation of a factory engineered V-Power Manifold Kit, part number 3191-1. It increasing engine breathing at all speeds for more power and acceleration by utilizing a V-4 reed cage and stuffer manifold. Additionally, it moves the carb forward so that the high and low speed needles are more accessible for adjustment. This kit can be installed with the engine on or off the kart in under about an hour. 2007 - The BIGGEST BIG ONE

 Great weather and a record turn-out.
 At a time when many are questioning America's future, we in America are celebrating the Labor Day holiday in honor of the effort, dedication, and the pride of the American worker that comes with the saying "Made in America".
 This same effort, dedication and pride is also celebrated in honor of the history of the machines made in America that formed the beginnings of the sport of karting in what is unquestionably known as THE BIG ONE

The Clark Engines .... yes, there is more history

At TBO this year, Jack and "Torque" brought more Clark Engine history to display. The engine featured in the previous article (see below) started out as a fan cooled motor. Also there was an ealier version that was a fan cooled motor and used the PowerProducts cylinder. There are many more photos in photo set 1 (about mid page) from this years Big One.  - Jeff Campbell

Vintage Karting in the News - major media coverage of rear engine vintage karts

"The Big One" makes Big News in the December National Kart News. Seven pages of articles and photos, plus the cover!

The February 2006 issue of "Karting Magazine", foreign correspondent Frank Weir traveled from Ireland to attend The Big One 2005 this past Labor Day weekend in Fremont Ohio.

The March 6th, 2006 issue of AutoWeek magazine features an article on karting's 50th anniversary with photos from the recent Adams Kart Track event. Photos are now on the AutoWeek website.
