Re: unidentified race kart
the motor mount tab thats welded on the bumper on the left rear... was moved from the right side made for the unimount... so it actually was made for dual uni mounts... and also someone welded in the metal floor pan cause the rivet holes are still in the bottom of the frame... the seat back is riveted aluminum.

Re: unidentified race kart
no whoever had it replaced it with a 1 inch axle. the original holes are there for the origonal larger bearings... does anyone know where i can find an axle for it? and it came with knock off wheels i belive and standard rupp turbines but if the axle was 1.25 diameter i dont know how the regular turbines would work they had to be special!
Re: unidentified race kart
You have a 1969 Model K (DAS) Amreican Sprint (sometimes referred to as Series K).

Dual American Sprint . Yes it is a Rupp. The "K" model is the last redesign of the Rear engine line of karts.Very few were produced and raced because the Sidewinder designs were faster.

Re: unidentified race kart
NO , Its the last new REAR ENGINE design . RUPP designed and sold Sidewinder styles of almost the same kart and were fairly successful. The K MODEL was low production because they didn t sell ! So , if you spend several thousand dollars to find the parts and then restore that kart in the pictures, you will have a pretty rare kart. The final value is what someone will PAY for it. Good luck.
