Is the pulse hole clear. Sometimes the base gasket gets reversed or some gasket sealer plugs the manifold closing off the pulse hole. I think Kermit Buller of Buller Built (402-723-4713) may still have some rebuild kits.

Hi, Tom. It's a standard 34mm Mikuni. I have 5 of them. Call Dave Bonbright at 707 938-8122, or John at EC Distributing (615)446-6807 for a kit. the diaphragn kits are getting scarce. Be sure your fuel tank vent has NO restriction, and that you have a clear pulse path from the crankcase to the carb flange thru the reed cage flange. Be sure the flange gasket pulse hole lines up with the hole in your manifold, and that there is no path from the pulse hole to the outside air. The Mikuni is a great carb and easy to tune, but you MUST have good fuel supply and a good crankcase pulse. If it needs rebuild, John at EC is very good. If you want to run alky, John, or Dave Bonbright will do the mods. Good luck! Ted
