Hey, Danno! I hope the Christmas was great for you. I can't get into the Vintage Karts site, and I see you were answering Nick about the aluminum kart with CT Alloy wheels. Chuck Trantham of CT Alloy made a dual tube aluminum kart for a while. Yhey did O.K. in very early enduro races around 1960/61. I even remember one with a Disston Merc like Will Rogers' Hovey on it. I'll bet that's the machine he's talking about. RARE and very neat! Happy New Year, Man! TJ

Hey Ted-
I finally found an ad for the kart in the Sept. 1960 issue of Kart magazine as well as a couple of write ups on them winning a number of early enduro races on the west coast. Upon further review of some additional pics, it looks like the sprung Hovey style axle is stock.

Good find, Dan. I remember a few Titan ads, but not that many. Trantham knew his aluminum. Note the soft bends on the frame rails so as not to stress the aluminum too much. I guess he was a decent enduro driver, too. Later! Ted
