New Member and New Finds

New to the forum….recently gotten somewhat obsessed and trying to learn as much as possible.

Have these two Karts. Have been told by others but would like to confirm what they are exactly and hopefully start to slowly redo them.

First up…initially thought it was a Rupp but have been told it’s a RobRon concession kart. Had rebar welded up front and out back which I’ve cut off but need to trim down further. It had to go. Older Briggs motor which I assume isn’t correct. Has 6in Margay wheels on all 4. Thoughts and ideas?

The second one from my understanding is a Putt-Nik. Not exactly sure which model year or anything but was said to have come with twin Mac engines maybe? Not even sure or rather I haven’t even been able to look at the motor in detail to see what’s currently on it. This frame is super heavy. I’ll try to post better pics tomorrow. Pics are from when I found it.

Are these worth restoring? Not liking to restore just to show or anything but to enjoy. Any help of identification, parts, suggestions etc greatly appreciated.

Travis, it looks like it may be a Putt-Nik Leo. They made a couple variations of the Leo. The karts are from Georgia. Putt-Nik brought a trailer full of '60 karts to our West Melbourne, FL shop in 1960, but we were Bug dealers, and didn't take the line on. The guy to PM on this site is: John McCorvey, also known as "Puttnikdude". John is a super guy and should be able to help you. Nobody knows Putt-Niks like the Puttnikdude! Ted

Red kart looks 1959-1960ish. Frame frails bent up in the front looks similar to some other karts of the time but it was made of square tube.

Don't forget there were a lot of home made karts by skilled workers at that time.
