Hate to ask, but problems with Vintage Kart Archives

Post by Hal Kolding » Sun Jan 03, 2010 10:26 pm

When I try to log in to the archives, it doesn't recognize my name/password combination. When I submit my email address to get my password, it doesn't recognize my email. When I tried to register again it says my email is already in use? Seems like a catch 22 situation, with no way to email an administrator. Any tips appreciated. thanks, Hal

Hey Hal-
It appears you mistyped "yahoo" as ""yqhoo.com" hence the problem. You should have gotten a password reset message from Bill. Don, I asked Bill to reset yours as well.

I have the same problem remembering passwords, especially when so many sites require them these days. One really neat thing about the Firefox browser is a feature that allows you to store all your login and password info in one place AND control it with a single master password, that way you only have to remember one password for all your logins. To enable this feature in Firefox, go to Preferences-->Security-->Use a Masterpassword. After you enable the setting, you can set your master password. The first time you go to a site, and login, Firefox will ask you if you want to save the password. Each subsequent visit, Firefox will prompt you for the master password and once it is entered, it will auto-populate the login name and password.

Hi Dan,
Still can't get in. Keeps telling my password is incorrect and I don't get a reply when I request it.
Regards,
Don

Hey Don-
You should be reset. We found a bug in the software that is causing the problem, but there is no clear cut fix so we'll have to remedy this issue on a case by case basis. If any other folks experience the same problem, please email me and we'll resolve it.

Dan
