I'm working on this Caretta and had to replace the seatback frame. Unfortunately the front engine mounts/chain adjuster brackets had been repositioned through the years and I can't figure out where exactly they are supposed to be welded. I can guess but If anyone can help with this I'd appreciate knowing how high off the frame rails they're supposed to be.
Thanks!
Lawrence

Re: Caretta Frame
Hi Lawrence, place the seat back where it fits you best. Ingals and Borelli would custom make Caretta's to order. The standard model is cramped for anyone over 200 lbs. My "58" is 38 inches from the seat back to the front axle, it is the longest I've ever seen. The later models are much further forward, as much as 5 inches.

Re: Caretta Frame
I'm trying to locate the flat bits that hold the front of the engine mount verticaly.
Seat back location is set already.
Unless I can put the mounts where ever they work the best?
