He's Back

Post by Dan Flanders » Wed Apr 28, 2010 7:18 am

Oh boy my favorite E-Bay seller Preduction (aka Theo VonCracksmoker)just listed an un-restored "original" Rathmann for the bargain basement price of $10k. Anyone want to start a pool to see how many times it gets relisted? Oh that's right when they get taken down they mysteriously get shipped to "Japan".

Dam, and I thought you had to work for years doing a complete restoration (the resto from hell) to get that kind of money. Next time I will just sell it the way I found it. :) well maybe not. Have a great day ..Ron

That guy is a hoot, notice he is charging $1000 for shipping and in feedback section one guy said he was charged hundreds for paypal fees... what a nut.

Yeah $1200 crating fee + nearly $300 in Pay-Pal feels...Someone is feeling a bit violated in the rectal area.

For that kind of money I would certainly like to see the unobtainium seat back tank, dual NOS Mc10's and the original upholstery not some barn find roller off of Craigslist.

Wonder whatever happened to the Wild Cat he had listed a couple years back for $25k...As I remember it was a high quality Cubel restoration that was initially sold for about 5K. Theo got a hold of it and suddenly it was "too fast to drive" "totally original" etc. etc. etc. Theo was bragging that it got sold to someone in "Japan" for the price he was asking. To quote the great philosopher Wayne Campbell "...Scheah and monkeys will fly out of my butt!"

If anybody wants a nice Rathman, just call Ron Cubel. Maybe someone ought to jump on Theo's kart, though - I imagine 1959 Xterminators are mighty rare! TJ

I'd think if you were selling something for that price, you would do a little research on how to spell Rathmann and post more than one picture in the back of a truck. "NOS. Only driven a couple times and then put away." Guess I have all kinds of NOS stuff, by that standard. Looks like it's working for him, though. His last auction was for a $1700 porno comic book with $200 shipping.

You saw the shipping price ,,,,, if he takes your offer ,,,,, thats 1500.00 to what most people call a REAL SNAKE.
I dont mean to be a jerk but this guy would take you to the hoop as best he can .
If I were you I would retract that offer ASAP .
Did you notice that it has been punched in the front ?
